I just heard about this book and I'm disgusted that this garbage is being forced upon 4-6 year olds in school.

Worse yet, is that there is a sequel, where the two "princes" (not princess) have miraculously conceived a child.

Wasn't there a story in the bible about Sodom and Gomorrah, and being turned to ash? That is where the word sodomy came from.

This is definitely a candidate for burning in the public square. The fireman are coming for you!

Ray and the Chocolate City

MAYOR RAY NAGIN: "It's time for us to rebuild a New Orleans, the one that should be, a chocolate New Orleans. And I don't care what people are saying, up town or wherever they are. Because God hates white people.

I enjoyed reading your idea on ises.org. I've been throwing around this idea for a while as well, with a couple added twists.

The seawater can be run through a series of dark pipes (perhaps through concentric coils), and being a closed system, would allow the pressure of the expanding steam to drive the electric turbine. The seawater would run through coils, pre-heating, while awaiting the pass under the concentrated solar array to turn it into steam.

Also, seawater is about 3% by weight dissolved solids, and when the seawater evaporates, there will be a residue left over. Most current de-salinization operations just pump the brine back into the seawater, killing the fish and plant life.

A Dr. Maynard Murray found that this residue contains trace minerals that can be used in agriculture to replenish the soil. He did experiments over 45 years and found that soil fortified with sea solids grew stronger, faster, tastes better and were much more resistant to disease and pests (less fertilizer and pesticides needed).

This idea would solve three major problems:

1. clean water
2. electricity
3. depleted topsoil

200 million tons of straw are burned in the United States annually. If you stop burning the straw, and instead combine it with the sea solids, and humanure, imagine the compost you would get! Plenty of nutrients to re-energize quite a bit of soil.

Well, those are some of my ideas. It's nice to see other people are interested in something other than the short-term. We have to start thinking about the future of mankind instead of the quick buck.

Started the Half Diet Last Monday

I started what I call the Half Diet last Monday (1/2 - fitting huh?). I still eat all the same foods I like (including fast food), I just eat half a portion. I've cut out unhealthy snacking and I've started working out again.

Back in High School I lost 60 lbs in about year this way. I've got about 50 to lose this time.

So far so good: I've lost about 4 lbs! I still get to eat dessert, I just split it with my wife!

I figure I used to eat about 3,000 calories a day, so half would bring me to about 1,500 -1,600 which is where I need to be to lose weight.

Support Our Troops

RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority". We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing.  We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions.  

Many Americans, like you, me and all our  friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that.. Every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar, will wear something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family.  It will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly mo re than the media lets on.  

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is...We need your support and your prayers. Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear some thing red every Friday.
